yeah, i had my strat set up like his, with 13s and that higher action, i love the tone, but i know what you mean, when i first started playing my hands hurt and ached for a while before i got used to it, but the best part is now when i go back to a lighter gauge i can bend like 2 1/2 steps, i love it

The thing that blows ME away about Stevie is the fact that he used BIG strings, REAL heavy guage and STILL managed to bend them..I tried setting my guitar up like his and playing. My fingers were bleeding in an hour. He HAD to have calluses 1/4 inch thick on his fingers! Look up his setup on the net and see what I mean! He was dedicated to perfect intonation and even E.C. (Slowhand) will tell you he WAS the greatest!

thats not how tell me starts out..but the second part he hummed was tell me…the lick at the beginning is actually from honey bee but he doesnt play it completely right..close tho
