Bohemian Rhapsody – for solo guitar
Sunday, January 4, 2009 2:04Posted in category Classic Guitar Riffs
This is what I learned from Edgar Cruz’s DVD. I just HAD to learn this piece after hearing Edgar perform it. The music/tab (included on the DVD) is transcribed precisely, but that only scratches the surface. The DVD covers tons of valuable information on technique, variations and alternate fingerings (many of which you see here). I’m not claiming to be a virtuoso – I’m just showing off Edgar’s work. The magic is in the arrangement.

Yes, got that right about self taught, but fingerpicking is something I’m pretty good at
the tab just looks messy and is complicated
I guess I’ll have to stop electric if I want to play like this

Anywho, I’ve worked my way up to 1:00 with minor flaws. Still a little sketchy making those chord changes [what do you expect from a 12 string though =P], but it’s presentable.

Oh, without a doubt. Especially if you’re a self taught guitarist, fingerpicking is a real pain in the ass. I’ve managed to sneak my way around that problem though.
But the good thing about playing different types and styles of guitar is that further down the road, youll mash up all these different things you’ve learned to make your own style of playing. The first guy that comes to mind is Randy Rhodes; He combined classical music with rock n roll, which is the basis for a lot of metal today.

OK, you’ve teased us long enough. We demand more guitar videos, and we want them now!! We know there’s more. Please share them!!!

I’m not kidding >_> Classical is not something you could master in a year lol My style is electric guitar, like jimmy page

If these guys can do it, you can do it too. Hell, Im learning it on a 12 string acoustic. Dont start with me on “Its Too Hard” =P
