    Haha, the thing with “freezing the hand” (keeping the shape of the chord as you take the hand off) is exactly what I used to do as well. :D

    I used to hold the chord, then lift off slightly so that the fingers are just above the strings, and try to hold my fingers to that they felt relaxed while being in the right place. Really helped me figure out how to put my fingers for some chords.

    Thanks Marty, another great video. Any suggestions on how to prevent my third finger from muting the 4th string in a C chord (or the 5th string in a G7). I seem to really have to fiddle with it a lot to get it clean.

    TY Marty! I’ve been playing guitar for about 2 months give or take and I’m just finally getting down chord changes (Well, I’ve had them down for a bit but I’m not quite as fast as I want to be). I know a bunch of chords but I haven’t been able to change chords on a dime.

    This video will help me quicken up my speed with changing chords. Thanks again.
