Ive changed mine to JJ Teslas and it sounds so much better. Get rid of those crappy stock tubes!

duuude this is so true it always kept happening in my rehearsals with my vox, finally i have the answer! i also though maybe the cable could influence the sound?

You don’t need to change the tube that often. Maybe every 2 years. You should notice when it needs replacing.

I find it confusing when people with tibe amps, like something will go wrong, and insstead of trying to figure out whjats wrong with it exactly they take it straight to a tech and just let them figure it out and fix it and thats it. Its weird how personal I get with my equipment, when something is up, i try to figure out the problem, and when fixed I make sure to watch or to learn what caused it and how it becpomes fixed. I have always like working on my own stuff.

The VT30 is not a full tube amp! It has this Valvreactor thing,and there is just one tube inside.

Hey Dave you forgot to mention that alot of tube amps need some warm-up time before they sound their best! And that valvestate amps might be a good alternative for people not wanting the commitment/maintenance of a tube amp
