    The riff itself is quite open for interpretation depending on if you strictly want to stay with the studio version or the many different approaches Blackmore took during live performance.

    I probably could have saved 6 minutes of video time by NOT breaking the riff down on individual strings but when people are just starting out I have found in my lessons that doing that is helpful so you can see the pattern on both strings then combining them makes more sense.

    its definetly an awesome riff
    thanks for sending the friend invite ive just started playing,ive learnd this song the wrong way always hitting the 2 strings and fredding down with 2 fingers
    il take a look at this one as ive learned that this is the right way and your other vids wil be helpful to.

    yes this pretty much is the 1st thing we learn…
    it is still one the greatest riffs ever, no matter how ez it is.
