As I understand it, he only left his Randall endorsement just a few weeks before his death and never really got to use the Krankenstein on tour, though he did have a hand in the design.

Yes, in his latter days, started using Randalls sense the beginning of his career.

Am I the only one that thinks this is either a pretty bad example of this amp’s sound…or that it just sounds like a muddy solid state mess to start with? No way to judge it from this vid.

Like a JCM-800 without all the jangle. LOL. Or the great sound, tubiness, tone, etc.

MGs are crap. They sound really weak and have no chug. Thats why nobody famous uses them. Marshall are just trying to grab money from beginners who think they’re getting a good amp.

Smaller solid state marshalls like the MG, I believe it’s the MG50 sound far better when over driven. Shamefull.

Randall amps to me, sound like shitty knockoffs of classic Peavey amps. IMO.

Notice the IMO, no need to take it personally you sensitive internet warriors.

Geeez I hate solid state shit and this proves it again, but as you say Defiantdeath, once you have a different external setup, things could possibly improve. You would have to be tonedeaf to appreciate this.

Less talk……more playing. I can read about the history of the amp, but I need to hear it.

only issue with these amp demos is that you cant really get the full sound quality of the amps since these are just youtube vids shot in a home studio
